Starting a Mac desk from a calendar event
A meeting on the calendar is a context change. Your notifications may already know that. Your windows usually do not. A Session can start when the event does.
The calendar already knows the next room
If your afternoon is a call at 2:00, you already typed that into Calendar. Apple Focus can follow a schedule. What it will not do is open the notes doc, the deck, and a dedicated browser window, or put last task's editor back when the event ends.
Amhara Sessions can turn on at a time you set, or when a matching calendar event starts. The point is not another reminder. It is that Meeting can already be the desk — the right apps, the right sites, the layout — before you have joined the call.
And then put the previous desk back
Context switches are expensive because teardown is manual. When a session starts, Amhara can save the desk you had. When the session ends, it can put it back. Combined with a calendar trigger, that is: event begins, Meeting is on; event ends, Deep Work's windows can return instead of remaining buried under a Zoom stack.
You can still start the same session from the menu bar, the Sessions page, or a keyboard shortcut. Calendar is one trigger among those, for the days when the schedule is the most honest picture of what you should be looking at.
