Project launchers remember the pieces. They do not remember where the windows went. A Session tiles the layout as part of opening, and you can say its name.

A launcher opens the files. The windows land wrong.

Everything opens. Nothing is where you left it.

You click a launcher. The folders open. The browser opens. Every window lands where that app last quit. The editor is on the laptop screen. The reference window is behind it. The first minutes are dragging.

Finding the files is a real problem, and launchers solve it. Remembering the layout is a different problem. Bolting on Shortcuts or a window manager afterward works if you like maintaining the script. It is two tools for one desk.

The layout is the Session

A Session can close what does not belong, open the apps, files, and sites that do, and tile the windows across your displays. When it starts, Amhara can save the desk you are leaving and put it back when the Session ends.

You can say the name. “Start Deep Work” is the same desk as the click, including the windows. A launcher that only opens the files still leaves you to place them.
